Dr. Yvette Webber-Davis, Director of Education Policy and Inclusion for OUS, assists the State Board of Higher Education and OUS campuses with activities relating to academic initiatives, teacher preparation, community engagement and diversity. During her more than twenty year tenure in higher education, she has maintained a strong focus on connecting policy with effective educational practice. Dr. Webber-Davis began working for OUS in 1998 and has facilitated several initiatives to further enhance educational achievement, inclusion, and excellence, including:
Prior to working for OUS, Dr. Webber-Davis was a staff member to the Florida Board of Regents, the former governing body for the State University System of Florida; founded a campus-wide learning center at Emory & Henry College (VA), including teaching/learning services for students and faculty; and worked for several years at Illinois State University as a reading specialist in pre-college outreach programs and campus administrator of academic support and retention programs. A Chicago native, Dr. Webber-Davis holds a BA in Education, an MS in Reading Education, and PhD in Educational Administration and Foundations.
